A couple on a getaway trip finds themselves in the company of an unexpectedly chatty and cheerful cab driver. His friendly attitude initially puts them at ease, and they settle in for what they assume will be an uneventful ride. However, as they travel further from the familiar landscape, they begin to notice subtle changes in the driver’s behavior. His lively stories start to take on a dark undertone, and the couple realizes that they’re being taken off the expected route, heading instead toward a desolate, remote road shrouded in mystery and shadows.
